The Force has been presented with the "Leader of the Year 2014 Award" of the "Community/Public Affairs/Environment & Conservation" category in recognition of its performances in Operation SOLARPEAK.

 

Five officers received the award on behalf of the Force at the "Leader of the Year 2014 Awards" Presentation Ceremony organised by Sing Tao News Corporation Limited on March 27. For them, the honour for the Force goes to every member of the Force, including regular and auxiliary officers and civilians, for their efforts, devotion to duty and loyalty. They also thanked officers' families for understanding and citizens' support during the Operation. 

 

Acting Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam officiated at the ceremony.  The Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, and Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung were also present.
