In secondary school, I spent the first five years playing basketball.  It was not until my last school year that I started taking part in track and field competitions.  Upon my graduation from school, I joined the Force immediately to begin my career.  Unexpectedly, this was a turning point in my running career.

In fact, after joining the Force, I had a goal - representing the Force in running competitions, especially the biennial World Police and Fire Games (WPFG).  The initial challenge for me was to complete foundation training, which included the 2.4km run. With proper guidance from instructors, I practised a lot. At the end, I managed to finish the 2.4km run in 8 mins 2 sec.

After passing out from Police College, I joined the Police Athletics Club (PAC) in order to get better equipped for my goal of representing the Force. Since then, I had attended different kinds of training organised by the PAC in order to enhance my physical fitness and improve my running posture.  This series of training helped me progress and make different breakthroughs. I used to focus on medium distant run, but later I was inspired and encouraged by PAC members to take on another challenge - 10km run. After continuous training, I made progress and won different events.

I believe that if I continue to work out, I will be able to achieve better results.  Next month I will be representing the Force in the WPFG in the United States. I will try my best to win in order to bring credit to the Force.
