New Territories North (NTN) offered a Knowledge Management (KM) session on counter-terrorism and public events on August 21 in a bid to boost officers' professionalism.

Senior Superintendent (Operations) NTN David Jordan kicked off the session with a warm welcome to the officers from Regional Headquarters and the Police Districts in NTN Region, and pointed out that it was a good opportunity to learn from the expertise of officers who have accumulated a huge amount of practical experience in specific fields.

Consisting of two parts, the session attracted over 50 officers at Inspectorate or above ranks. In the first part, a Security Wing representative presented an update on counter-terrorism. In the second part, Wan Chai District Assistant District Commander (Administration) San Tze-kin gave a talk on the challenges of public events and the related planning, while Senior Inspector Ma King-kwan from Internal Investigation Office talked about the Appeal Board on Public Meetings and Processions.

The speakers' presentations drew many questions from the participants, who found the session both inspiring and useful.
