The Hong Kong & Kowloon Pawnbrokers' Association called at Sha Tin Police Station on August 26 and presented pennants to Sha Tin District (STDIST) for busting a series of deception cases and arresting suspects who had conspired to pawn non-pure gold ornaments worth $120,000 in the pawnshops in Tin Sum, Mong Kok, Kwai Chung, Tuen Mun, Tsuen Wan and Sham Shui Po between October last year and January this year.


Mr Lo Kwok-hung, Chairman of the association, and his members praised the investigating officers for their professionalism, efficiency and devotion to duty. Receiving the pennants were Chief Inspector (Crime) Wong Chi-ming, Inspector Wong Hau-yi of District Crime Squad (3) STDIST, and Inspector Wan Pui-yee of District Intelligence Section.
