Assistant Commissioner (Crime) John Ribeiro hosted the 11th Crime Wing Liaison Gathering (CWLG) at Police Headquarters on November 20.

Attending the gathering was a record number of over 700 guests, including officials from the Mainland, Macao, overseas law enforcement agencies and consulates, as well as representatives from the private sector and other government departments. Commissioner Lo Wai-chung and Senior Directorate Group officers were present to renew acquaintance with the guests.

The event offered Crime Wing officers an opportunity to strengthen communication with strategic partners and thank the guests for their continuing support for the Force in combating cross-jurisdictional crime. Mr Ribeiro also took the opportunity to observe a moment of silence for the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris, and stress the need of working in partnership in countering the threat of terrorism.

Commencing retirement this month after more than 34 years of service in the Force, Mr Ribeiro was hosting the CWLG for the last time.
