Nearly 200 Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) young people and their parents joined police volunteers and Junior Police Call members at Western District's (WDIST) "Join Hand To Fight Crime - NEC X'mas Party 2015" on December 19.


Among the guests of honour were WDIST Commander Wise Choy, Vice-chairperson of the WDIST JPC Honorary Presidents Council, Dr Lam Wai-wing, Honorary Advisor and Honorary President of the council, Mr Thomas Ng, Chairman of Southern District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Leung Ho-kwan, Chairman of Caritas Mok Cheung Sui Kun Community Centre Advisory Committee, Ms Lee Yee-man, and Secretary of Sikh Temple, Mr Juihar Singh.


The event aimed at boosting communication and understanding with the NEC. Mr Choy appointed seven NEC Anti-crime Ambassadors for disseminating anti-crime messages to their peers. He also encouraged NEC young people to take part in more community activities, integrate with the locals and help the police prevent and fight crime.
