The Regional Crime Prevention Office (RCPO) of Kowloon East hosted a "Silent Night - Racial Harmony" event at a plaza in Kowloon Bay on December 24. Led by RCPO officers, the "Teens Ambassadors" from the Juveniles Protection Section of Kowloon East, including two Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) teenagers, and staff members of a property management company handed out crime prevention fliers to remind the public to beware of phone scams and pick pocketing during the festival season. Publicity videos on scam cases were broadcast, attracting big crowds. The officers also updated the public on crime modus operandi.

The two NEC volunteers were delighted to have an opportunity to offer a volunteer service on "Silent Night", while the public appreciated the RCPO's efforts.
