The Police Community Relations Office of Eastern District (EDIST) joined hands with the Eastern District Fight Crime Committee (EDFCC) in staging an "EDIST Year-end Fight Crime Publicity Campaign - Bus Parade 2015" on December 2 and distributed leaflets and souvenirs to remind residents and shopkeepers to watch out for crimes, particularly burglary, extortion as well as phone, Internet and social media scams.


EDIST Commander Graham Mitchelmore, Eastern District Council Vice-chairman, Mr Kung Pak-cheung, EDFCC Chairman, Mr Yeung Wai-sing, EDFCC Working Group Chairman, Dr Yeung Wai-hong, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR Hong Kong Island Sub-Office Deputy Director General, Mr Chen Weifeng, and Assistant District Officer, Eastern District, Home Affairs Department, Ms Au Tsz-kwan, officiated at an opening ceremony in Victoria Park, Causeway Bay. Following the ceremony, the guests boarded a double-decker bus and headed for various places in Eastern District, with crime prevention messages broadcast in Cantonese, Putonghua, Hokkien and Urdu (Pakistan's official language) on the way.
