Senior Superintendent (SSP) Ko Shun-chi and Chief Inspector Luk Chun-chung, both from Police College, attended the "Conference for Hong Kong and Macao Police Training and Exchange on Mainland" in Beijing on December 17.


Chairing the meeting was Mr Huang Runcheng, Deputy Director-General of Personnel and Training Bureau, Ministry of Public Security (MPS). Mr Fan Jingyu, the Party Committee Secretary, and Mr Li Jianhe, Vice President of People's Public Security University of China (PPSUC), were also in attendance.


Participating in the meeting were 30 delegates from the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of MPS, Macao Police and institutes organising training and exchange programmes on the Mainland, including the PPSUC, Beijing Police College, Shanghai Police College, Guangdong Police College and China Criminal Police University.


The delegates expressed their views of the bilateral training and exchange programmes held in the past and discussed the co-operation in the coming year to cater for specific training needs.


SSP Ko took the opportunity to thank all parties and institutes for organising study and exchange programmes in the past, which had enhanced mutual understanding and co-operation between the Mainland and the Force.
