New Territories South (NTS) Region hosted a liaison gathering for over 40 secondary school principals on December 15.

In his welcoming address, NTS Regional Commander Lui Hon-kwok introduced the inter-departmental and multi-disciplinary approaches adopted by the Force to promote youth services. He also thanked the school principals for supporting and co-operating with the police over the years.

After Mr Lui's speech, Chief Inspector Sum Ching-fun from Kwai Tsing District gave a presentation on "Project Go Front", which aims at offering services to Non-ethnic Chinese youths. At the same time, Police Public Relations Branch Superintendent Yau Sin-man briefed the guests on the latest developments of police projects for the youth.

The school principals saw the liaison gathering as a good platform to enhance the partnership between the police and schools in bringing about a safe and healthy environment for the youth.
