The Police Community Relations Office of Kwun Tong District (KTDIST) held a "Row Through Rainbow in Community Harmony" Indoor Rowing Championship in conjunction with KTDIST Junior Police Call (JPC) Honorary Presidents Council and Hong Kong Taoist Association The Yuen Yuen Institute No.3 Secondary School on December 19.


The event aimed at promoting racial harmony and motivating young people to pursue healthy lifestyles. Officiating at the opening ceremony were Acting KTDIST Commander Alice Lee, member of Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee, School Principal Lee Sai-kee and JPC presidents.


Taking part in the championship were 300 contestants from 10 secondary schools, non-governmental organisations and other disciplined services, including over 60 Non-ethnic Chinese students. The competition proceeded under a harmonious and joyful atmosphere, strengthening communication among schools and motivating young people to develop positive values and senses of co-operation, self-discipline and obedience, besides promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
