In a bid to encourage young people to take part in sports, Mong Kok District (MKDIST), MKDIST Junior Police Call (JPC) Honorary Presidents Council and Yau Tsim Recreation and Sports Association jointly hosted a MKDIST Fun Game's Day on January 10.


Declaring the event open were Yau Tsim Mong District Council Chairman, Mr Ip Ngo-tung, MKDIST Commander Mark Foster, Yau Tsim Recreation and Sports Association Chairman, Mr Chiu Yu-hei, Mong Kok JPC Honorary Presidents Council Chairman, Mr Hau Wing-cheong, and Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee Vice-chairman, Ms Chan Heung-lin.


Over 300 JPC members and MKDIST JPC honorary presidents took part in the event, which offered game booths and different types of ball games, such as bubble soccer, badminton and table tennis, with a view to promoting healthy lifestyle and disseminating fight crime messages. Mr Kwong Kai-hin, a Hong Kong Table tennis representative, and Ms Yu Lai-lai, ex-Hong Kong Badminton representative, gave demonstrations and offered advice related to their sports.
