Aimed at brushing up the Chinese language proficiency of Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) Junior Police Call (JPC) members interested in joining the Force, Lantau District (LTDIST) has organised a Chinese Language Workshop every Saturday since March 5. A Chinese language teacher specialised in teaching non-Chinese speaking students from international schools was hired to run the workshop. The programme has earned the full support of non-Chinese speaking community leaders in the district.

Ever since the launch of "Project One World" last year, LTDIST has offered a series of activities for improving the communication and mutual understanding between the police and the NEC JPC members, instilling positive values in them and fostering police-youth partnership in fighting crime.
