Marine Outer Waters District (MOWDIST) held a Nautical Knowledge and Seamanship Skill Competition at Marine East Division (MEDIV) Base on February 23 for helping the contestants share experiences and seamanship skills, strengthening teamwork and fostering a sense of belonging. Acting Marine Regional Commander Tsui Wai-hung chaired an adjudication panel.


The competition focused on core Marine Police skills, including rescue, seamanship, fire fighting at sea, engineering and general maritime knowledge, attracting four teams comprising a total of 20 officers from MEDIV, Marine North Division (MNDIV), Marine West Division (MWDIV) and Marine Port District (MPDIST). Following a closely fought contest in the presence of some 150 spectators, MEDIV clinched the championship, with MPDIST, MWDIV and MNDIV taking second, third and fourth places respectively.
