Western District (WDIST) and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals CROSS Centre held a "Multi-Intelligence Anti-Drug and Fight Crime Challenge" on Police College campus on March 5 as part of a "Multi-dimensional View of Psychotropic Drugs Project".

Officiating at the event were WDIST Deputy Commander Ho Kai-hin, Vice-chairperson of the WDIST Junior Police Call (JPC) Honorary Presidents Council, Mr Ng Wing-yan, Chairman of Southern District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC), Mr Leung Ho-kwan, and Chairman of Central & Western DFCC, Mr Cheung Tsun-ying.

The challenge competition was designed to help youngsters pick up self-confidence and improve their communication and problem-solving skills. The competition not only conveyed messages on fighting drugs and crime to youngsters, but also promoted healthy lifestyles to them.

Speaking at an award presentation ceremony, Mr Ho called on JPC members and other participants to remain alert to any drug abuse symptoms of people around them so that early support and treatment could be provided.
