Yuen Long District (YLDIST) hosted the fourth inter-departmental liaison meeting with Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) leaders and other government departments on April 27 in a bid to provide a platform for NEC leaders to discuss their matters of concern.

Chaired by YLDIST Commander Fok Lok-sang, officers briefed the attendants on the crime figures and trends, and policing work. Also attending the meeting were representatives from the Home Affairs Department, Lands Department, Immigration Department, Social Welfare Department, Food and Environmental Hygiene Department and Independent Commission Against Corruption.

Meanwhile, YLDIST invited 10 NEC leaders to watch a parade for Tin Hau's Birthday on April 29 to enable them to experience local culture.

On the other hand, some mentees of Project Himalaya of YLDIST distributed copies of a fight crime leaflet to members of the Yuen Long community on May 6. The activity not only promoted anti-crime message to the public, but also boosted the mentees' sense of belonging to society.
