Representatives of a chain food retailer presented a flag to Airport District (APTDIST) Chief Inspector (Crime) Ip Chun-wing and officers of District Investigation Team 2 APTDIST on April 21, in appreciation of their efforts in arresting three of the retailer's employees for conspiracy to steal money from the airport shop.

A manager of the retailer reported to APTDIST last September about money missing from their cashier at the airport shop. Investigations showed that three of the company's employees were suspected to make use of a loophole of the shop's cashier system and take customers' payments. Three employees were arrested and later sentenced to community services. The retailer also took Police's advice to review their cashier system to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
