Mentees of Project Himalaya actively engaged in community events to better equip themselves with the calibre to join the Force.


Former mentee Niraj Gurung, who is now a police constable, hosted a sharing session for existing mentees on May 18. Apart from sharing tips for recruitment interviews of the Force, he encouraged them to improve their language proficiency and physical fitness.


On May 21, some mentees and Junior Police Call members attended the Recruitment Seminar at the Police College, at which they got a better understanding of the selection processes and police life.


Meanwhile, a group of mentees helped to distribute anti-crime leaflets to both local and Non-ethnic Chinese residents on May 20 and 24 so as to raise crime prevention awareness of the public and increase the mentees' interaction with the community.
