Shamshuipo District (SSPODIST) in partnership with the New Home Association held a visit for a group of Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) to the Government Flying Service (GFS) earlier.


Led by Deputy District Commander of SSPODIST Mak Lau Wai-mun, members of NEC Volunteers Group of SSPODIST and volunteers of the New Home Association brought 14 NEC youngsters to the headquarters of GFS. Volunteer officers mingled with the youngsters on the way to disseminate crime prevention and anti-drug messages.


Upon arrival, GFS staff briefed the youngsters on their major responsibilities, daily work, emergency services and their international search and rescue obligation. Afterwards, the youngsters toured its fleet of aircraft and helicopters.


The visit provided a chance for volunteer officers to promote the NEC Engagement Project and enhance racial harmony with the NEC group.
