With a view to enhancing communication with senior citizens, Senior Police Call and the Elderly Engagement Section (SPC & EE) of the Police Public Relations Branch (PPRB), in partnership with the Elder Academy (New Territories West), arranged 50 elders to visit the Emergency Unit of Hong Kong Island (EU HKI) and the Crime Prevention Bureau (CPB) on July 14.

Upon arrival, Superintendent of EU HKI Young Chi-man briefed the elders on the organisational structure of EU HKI, their work challenges and tactics. The elders then had a close look at EU officers' equipment and watched a demonstration by police dogs.

The elders also toured CPB's Security Equipment Display Room, where officers explained to them the latest security equipment and facilities. PPRB officers then briefed the elders on fight crime and road safety matters.

Lastly, a representative of the Elder Academy (New Territories West) presented a letter to SPC & EE in appreciation of their efforts in arranging the visit.
