An Anti-beach Theft Publicity Campaign was kicked off at Shek O Beach on July 15, during which officers joined hand in hand with community leaders to distribute copies of an anti-crime leaflet and souvenirs to beach-goers to remind them to keep an eye on their belongings.

Taking part in the campaign included Acting Commander of the Eastern District (EDIST) Ip Chi-keung, Commander of Chai Wan Division (CWDIV) Fan Chor-fan, Assistant Divisional Commander (Operations) of CWDIV Ma Chi-wai and EDIST Police Community Relations Officer Lam Kin-tat.

Some local community leaders, resident representatives, EDIST Fight-crime Ambassadors, EDIST Senior Police Call members and EDIST Junior Police Call members also offered the campaign their full support by assisting in handing out leaflets to swimmers.
