To give officers and their family a comprehensive insurance protection for contingencies, applications for the Central Fund will be open for junior police officers as well as the Family Protection Fund for the inspectorate rank or above and all civilian officers from September 19 to December 16.

Administrated with the assistance of the Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch, each of the two funds provides a maximum insurance protection of $500,000 in the unfortunate event that an insured officer dies whilst in service or suffers from varying degrees of permanent disability caused by accidents.
