Representatives from the Management Committee of the Card Authorisation System in PRC, together with the Chairman of the Sha Tin District Council, Chairman of the Shatin District Fight Crime Committee and the management staff of two housing estates, presented commemorative plaques to officers of Shatin District (STDIST) and the Crime Prevention Bureau (CPB) on August 12 in appreciation of their efforts in the detection of a series of burglaries, which occurred at New Territories South Region between May 18 and July 15. The officers had arrested five persons for illicitly entering the changing rooms of the housing estates' clubhouses to steal cash and/or credit cards.


Receiving the commemorative plaques were STDIST Commander Kwan Chui-ching, Chief Inspector (CIP) of CPB Paul Haley, STDIST CIPs Wong Chi-ming and Sheung Chun-kit, Senior Inspector of CPB Woo Kam-yan.
