An Eastern District Council member, Ms Li Chun-chau, in conjunction with resident representatives, awarded tapestry banners to Eastern District (EDIST) officers on July 6 in appreciation of their professionalism in handling a case of criminal intimidation. Receiving the banners included EDIST Commander Graham Mitchelmore, Assistant Commander (Crime) Karl Spencer and Inspector of District Crime Squad 2 (DCS 2) Li Kin-sum.

In November 2015, Ms Li received an intimidation by anonymous phone calls concerning her handling of stray dogs. DCS 2 conducted follow-up investigation and swiftly arrested a suspect. The suspect pleaded guilty and was sentenced to probation order for 12 months.
