To promote community and racial harmony, Mong Kok District (MKDIST) organised an annual cooking competition in conjunction with the Mong Kok Kai Fong Association on August 20. The dishes should tie in with the theme of "Fight Crime Together, Show Cooking Talent 2016".

Ten teams took part in the competition, which was divided into two categories. The Mong Kok Senior Police Call (SPC) team was the champion of the Young Person and Elderly category while the Community Care for Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) team won in the NEC category. Both the newly- added Best Modelling Award and the Best Interpretation Award went to Mong Kok Junior Police Call team.

The adjudicators included MKDIST Deputy Commander Lee Chung-wah, Chairman of Yau Tsim Mong District Council Mr Ip Ngo-tung, Chairman of Mong Kok Kai Fong Association Mr Leung Wah-sing and Chairman of Mong Kok SPC Honorary President Council Mr Chan Siu-tong. Several kindergarten and primary school students acted as Fight Crime Junior Chefs to spread anti-crime messages.
