The Recruitment Division and Kwai Tsing District (KWTDIST) jointly organised the Job Shadowing Programme and a visit to the Police Dog Unit (PDU) for mentees of Project Growth in August to arouse their interest in Police work.

Under the Job Shadowing Programme, 18 mentees attended a one-day attachment in six Police units, namely the Police College, Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB), Identification Bureau, Recruitment Division, KWTDIST and Yau Tsim District. Apart from a briefing on the structure and duties of the units, the programme also covered a work experience sharing session.

During the mentees' visit to PDU in Sha Ling on August 31, officers introduced to them the unit's development and tasks as well as the characteristics and training of Police dogs. The mentees took a look at the kennels facilities, and were able to make close contact with the dogs.
