Probationary Inspectors (PIs) of intake 1/2016 have devised a five-month Community Engagement Project for a group of PIs and Recruit Police Constables (RPCs)to serve about 300 elders with visual disability at the Jockey Club Yee On Care and Attention Home under the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals in Aberdeen. They would visit the elders in 10 batches.

To kick off the project, six PIs and 14 RPCs visited the elderly home on October 8, during which they read newspaper for the elders and accompanied them to take a relaxing walk at the garden. The PIs and RPCs told the elders their training activities while the elders shared their life experience with them. This was an inspiration to the recruits in developing their career.
