Acting Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) Commander Mak Lau Wai-mun hosted a meeting with stakeholders of Project Guarding Eyes on September 29 concerning the progress of installing subsidised closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems at low-security private residential buildings.

The first and second phases of the project were launched in July last year and March respectively. As at September, 32 buildings and 16 security companies that are licensed to install CCTV registered to join the project.

Some sponsors of the project, including Chairman of the Sham Shui Po District Fight Crime Committee (SSPO DFCC) Mr Li Hon-hung, Vice-chairman of SSPO DFCC Mr Lo Wing-man and a member of SSPO DFCC, Dr Chan Tung, were invited to the meeting. They assisted in matching the security companies and the buildings through a lot-drawing ceremony.
