With the support of the Hong Kong Ocean Park Conservation Fund, Commander of Marine Outer Waters District (MOWDIST) Bradley Wright and Senior Inspector Leung Yuen-ching from the Marine West Division led members of the Sea Defender Project to visit the Cetacean Stewardship Operations Group at the Ocean Park on September 28.

Marine police officers are responsbile for supporting the Operations Group in rescuing stranded whales and dolphins in Hong Kong waters. During the visit, officers of the Sea Defender Project toured the cetacean facilities and veterinary hospital to enhance their understanding of the ecology of cetaceans and the marine ecological environment. The visit helped to increase frontline officers' sensitivity to marine conservation when performing duties.
