Yuen Long District (YLDIST) invited a number of mentees of Project Himalaya, some other Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) youths as well as their parents to join a tea gathering at Yuen Long Police Station on September 17 to let the parents experience and share their views on the project.

Later that day, officers led the participants to visit the Hong Kong Jockey Club Drug InfoCentre in Admiralty to raise their awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

On October 1 and 8, YLDIST invited an ex-member of the Hong Kong Athletics Team to teach the mentees of Project Himalaya the correct running posture and other fitness training skills to better prepare them for the fitness test in the police recruitment exercise.

On the other hand, YLDIST arranged over 400 toddlers from Chan Kwong Kindergarten to join guided tours to the Yuen Long Police Station from September 22 to 29. YLDIST Deputy Commander Mak Wai-man led officers of the Police Community Relations Office to introduce police work and equipment to the toddlers and share their experience.
