The Police Community Relations Office of Eastern District (PCRO EDIST) launched a fight crime publicity campaign in conjunction with a department store in Quarry Bay on September 23 to raise customers' anti-theft awareness.


Officiating at the opening ceremony of the campaign were EDIST Commander Graham Mitchelmore, Deputy Commander of EDIST Sit Ka-ho, Chairman of the Eastern District Fight Crime Committee (EDFCC) Mr Leung Chi-kong and Chairman of the Working Group on Civic Education under the Eastern District Council Mr Ting Kong-ho.


Then the officiating guests and officers of PCRO EDIST, together with Eastern District Councillors, EDFCC members, Senior Police Call and Junior Police Call members of EDIST, Non-ethnic Chinese ambassadors and local representatives, distributed fight crime leaflets and souvenirs to customers in the department store so as to remind them to take good care of their property while shopping and beware of telephone deception.
