With a view to enhancing the supervisory capability of managers of crime units and the criminal investigation skills of frontline officers, the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) has formed a working group to identify frontline officers' training needs and organise a series of workshops accordingly.

The first workshop on "The role of Chief Inspector as the officer-in-charge of identification parade", co-organised by OCTB and the Detective Training Centre, was held on October 4. Two speakers, Deputy Commander of Kowloon City District Tony Deakin and Senior Superintendent of Crime New Territories North Regional Headquarters Chan Tsan-wing, shared with 110 officers about their experience in conducting identification parades.
