In a bid to deter drink driving and drug driving, the Road Safety Team of Traffic Hong Kong Island (T HKI) joined hands with the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (Hong Kong & Islands) (HKRSP (HKI)) to host the Halloween Safe Driving 2016 Ceremony on October 28.

Officiating at the ceremony were Superintendent of Investigation and Support of HKI Mak Chui-tong, Assistant Commissioner of HKRSP (HKI) Wong Chun-hung, Chairman of the Traffic and Transport Committee of the Central and Western District Council Mr Chan Choi-hi, Chairman of the Central and Western District Road Safety Campaign Committee Mr Ng Wing-yan, and Western District Operation Officer Ng May-mey.

Officers let the audience wear special goggles to get a feel of the influence of alcohol and drug, which would cause dizziness and affect driving ability. Then the officiating guests went to the nearby bars and restaurants to distribute fliers and souvenirs to customers. Some customers volunteered for a random breath test to show their support for the Force activity.
