Chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC) Mr Kwok Lam-kwong and 11 IPCC Members, accompanied by IPCC Secretary-General Mr Yu Koon-hing, paid a visit to Mong Kok District (MKDIST) at night on November 24 with a view to understanding more about police work in combatting vice activities. Director of Management Services Li Kin-fai and Acting Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Cheung Kin-kwong kept the IPCC delegation company during the visit.

MKDIST Deputy Commander Lee Chung-wah and MKDIST Operation Officer Ma Wang-ngai escorted the IPCC delegates to tour the prominent streets with vice activities and briefed them of MKDIST's command structure and priority in combatting vice activities. Then the delegates attended a forum to listen to MKDIST Special Duties Squad officers' sharing of their hardship, pressure and challenges encountered during the operations.

The Complaints Against Police Office will continue to arrange similar visits for IPCC Members to other police formations to enhance mutual understanding between the members and frontline officers.
