Talk on preserving the Force's history

With an aim to enhancing Force members' skills in preserving the history of the Force, the Police College invited Assistant Professor of the Department of Social Science in the Education University of Hong Kong Dr Ho Ka-ki and retired Senior Superintendent Ho Ming-sun of the Hong Kong Police Old Comrades' Association to give a talk under the Intellectual 40m series on December 7.

The two speakers cited a case study of the Police Married Quarters (PMQ) at Hollywood Road to illustrate the techniques in preserving the Force's history. Dr Ho's research was conducted by oral interviews. He presented the findings of his research and told the participants about the way of life, thoughts and values of the occupants of the PMQ.
