Chairman of Yau Tsim Mong District Council Mr Ip Ngo-tung, together with leaders of Yau Tsim Mong Area Committees and Kaifong Associations, presented tapestry flags to officers of Operations Kowloon West (KW) on December 5 in appreciation of their professionalism in ensuring community safety. They specially thanked three officers of KW Emergency Unit (EU) for their resolute efforts in opening fire to stop a violent wounding case in Yau Ma Tei on October 2.

One day after the flag presentation, the same team of EU KW foiled a robbery case and arrested a man for robbing a bank in Tsim Sha Tsui. This again projected a positive image of the Force to the community.
