The Police College launched a half-day youth engagement programme, entitled "Police Touch", to encourage the youth to explore themselves through a series of challenges, like physical training, leadership and team building exercises. The first "Police Touch" was held on February 11, drawing the participation of 50 students from two secondary schools.

The programme covered a demonstration of foot drill and a sharing session with probationary inspectors and recruit police constables. The students exchanged their views with the police trainees on the Force's work and the "Police Touch".

Speaking after the event, the Principal of Buddhist Wai Yan Memorial College, Mr Lee Cheuk-hing, said that the foot drill presented a highly disciplined role model to the students and increased their understanding of the importance of team spirit. On the other hand, the Principal of Buddhist Fat Ho Memorial College, Mr Yuon Fuk-lung, appreciated the sharing session with police trainees for inspiring the students to develop positive values and attitudes.
