Senior Superintendent Lau Kit-man represented the Critical Infrastructure Security Coordination Centre (CISCC) to receive a certificate of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management System from Director of Corporate Business of Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency Ms Jorine Tam on February 21. The certification recognised the Force's commitment in the protection of critical infrastructure, and marked a milestone for the CISCC.

After two years of preparatory work, the CISCC passed the certification audit of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System last December. The ISO requirement consists of a set of international audit standards, which help organisations to ensure that they have developed a quality management system for its programme or product by a "Plan-Do-Check-Act" model to meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders.

The scope of the CISCC's certification covered the Force's Provision of Critical Infrastructure Protection Programme in regard to the identification, review and vulnerability reduction of critical infrastructure as well as the promotion of security awareness.
