Thirty-four members of the Force Swimming Team pocketed five gold medals, eight silver medals and 16 bronze medals in 20 individual and relay events at the Short Course Masters Swimming Competition organised by the Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association on February 26. Moreover, Police Constable (Auxiliary) Lam Suet smashed two master records for women's 25 metres backstroke and 50 metres butterfly.

The team, comprising both serving and retired officers of different age groups, achieved a high standard of swimming excellence in the first territory-wide competition of the year. This indicated that their winter training programme was effective in raising their standard.

The Chairman of the Police Swimming Club, Mr Ho Ka-fei, congratulated the team on their outstanding performance, and encouraged members to build on the success of the event and strive for good results in the coming competitions.
