Experience sharing of overseas learning

Senior Superintendent (SSP) of the Police Public Relations Branch Tse Chun-chung and SSP of the Liaison Bureau Chan Tung spoke about their overseas learning experience at a session of the Blue Moon Sharing Series on May 4.

Having attended the Strategic Crisis Communication Course at the International School of Communication in the United Kingdom, Mr Tse cited a few recent public relations incidents to illustrate how to identify the crux of a crisis and how to apply strategic communication skills to manage the crisis.

Then Mr Chan shared with the audience the key messages of the Advanced Security Cooperation Course run by the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in the United States. The course focused on the major security issues in the Asia-Pacific region and facilitated the participants to build rapport with overseas decision-makers from the media, military, non-governmental organisations and other law enforcement agencies.

The sharing was well received and generated enthusiastic discussion. Interested persons may view the video footages of "Wisdom Buffet" via the Knowledge Management Portal.
