To promote the concept of ethnic harmony and to advocate a healthy lifestyle, officers of Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) participated in friendly football matches with Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) students at Cheung Sha Wan Playground on June 4. The matches drew the participation of nearly 100 people including 60 NEC students.


Four football teams coming from the New Home Association's HOME Centre in Yau Tsim Mong and a sub-centre in Sham Shui Po, Project Himalaya of Yuen Long District as well as SSPODIST joined the matches. Officiating at the event were Head of Service (Hong Kong) of the New Home Association Mr Chan Yee-fei, District Operation Officer of SSPODIST Hung Hin-kau and a representative of the football team of Project Himalaya. They presented a trophy and medals to the champion - the SSPODIST football team. The matches helped to enhance communication and ties between the NEC students and the officers.
