Mong Kok District (MKDIST) arranged recently a series of youth activities under Project Torch with the objectives of enhancing the participants' understanding of police work and passing on Force values to the young generation. On July 12, MKDIST Deputy District Commander Lee Chung-wah led directors and members of Project Torch to visit the Police Dog Unit (PDU) Training School in Sha Ling.

The event started with a briefing by PDU officers on the structure and main duties of their team, followed by an introduction of different types of police dogs. Then Project Torch members watched a demonstration by a dog handler with her police dog. Finally, they visited the dog training facilities and the kennels to get to know more about the training and living environment of police dogs.

Other activities held under Project Torch in the past two months included interview skill training, community visit and physical training.
