Airport District (APTDIST) hosted a luncheon on July 26 to express their heartfelt thanks to the airport stakeholders for their solid support and assistance during President Xi Jinping's inspection of Hong Kong and several heads of state's visits to the city recently. The airport community has made an all-out effort to support the Force's counter terrorism security operations and the related activities were conducted in a safe and orderly manner.


Officiated by Regional Commander of New Territories South Lui Hon-kwok, the luncheon was honoured by the presence of over 100 distinguished guests, including Director-General of Civil Aviation Mr Li Tin-chui; Executive Director, Airport Operations, Airport Authority Hong Kong Mr Ng Chi-kee; Deputy Executive Director of the Aviation Security Company Limited Mr Cheung Tak-keung as well as representatives of AsiaWorld-Expo, airport hotels, airline operators, air cargo terminals, MTR Corporation, bus companies and the relevant government departments.


APTDIST Commander Kwok Ka-chuen gave a vote of thanks to the stakeholders for their contribution in the security operations. He looked forward to joining hands with all partners of the airport community to ensure that the Hong Kong International Airport remains one of the world's safest airports.
