New Territories South (NTS) Region held two experience-sharing sessions on licensing and court prosecution recently with a view to enhancing the professional knowledge of junior inspectors or other interested officers of the Region. The monthly sharing session was introduced by the Region since February.


Divisional Commander of Tsing Yi Division Au Yeung Mun-yee who was formally Superintendent of the Licensing Office, and a few officers from the Licensing Office, namely Chief Inspector (CIP) (Societies and Security) Yeung Chun-yee, Senior Inspectors Mak Sze-wai and Rocken Law, and Sergeant Tang Wai-ho of the Public Order Event Support Section shared their expertise with over 140 participants at NTS Regional Headquarters on June 23. Apart from outlining the processes in handling applications for money lenders licence and the legislation and police procedures for applying a liquor licence, the speakers also introduced the newly established knowledge sharing platform on public event to the participants.


Later on July 26, a tour to the newly opened West Kowloon Law Courts Building was arranged. Led by CIP Court NTS Chue Chin-pang, some 20 officers visited the court facilities and attended the plea taking session at a court to observe the work of Court Prosecutor. Mr Chue shared with the participants the main points in preparing and submitting the related documents to courts.
