The School of Foundation Training (SFT) of the Police College ran a Foot Drill Instructor Basic Course from July 10 to 21 for 11 police officers as well as three visiting officers from other disciplined services, namely the Immigration Department, Customs and Excise Department and Fire Services Department (FSD).

Senior Inspector (Drill and Musketry) Wong Ming-kong said that the course was tailor-made to train those who would be or have been taking up foot drill instruction duties. The training covered ways to improve individual foot drill and the methodology in teaching foot drill.

The visiting FSD officer, Senior Station Officer Kwok Lai-shan, responded that she treasured the learning opportunity with the foot drill instructors from the Force as well as the trainees with different background.
