The Emergency Unit of New Territories South (EU NTS) held four one-day training sessions with Sha Tin Fire Station in July and August to enhance the partnership and their preparedness in handling emergency incidents.

Under the planning of Senior Superintendent (Operations) of NTS Ian Clark and Acting Superintendent of EU NTS Wong Cham-sum, the participants revisited the procedures in tackling Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) incidents and conducting search and rescue work at inaccessible high points with the High Angle Rescue Team of the Fire Services Department (FSD).

With the assistance of FSD's Divisional Commander (New Territories East) Mr Leung Chi-wang and Commander of Sha Tin Fire Station Mr Chan Kim-man, the training sessions had consolidated the officers' professional competence and enhanced communication with FSD officers.
