On August 11, the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) met with representatives of the baking industry for the seventh consecutive year to discuss ways to curb counterfeit moon cake redemption coupons.

At the meeting presided by Superintendent of the Counterfeit, Forgery and Support Division of CCB Chan Tin-chu, the officers gave advice on how to further improve the security features of the coupons. A representative of the Crime Prevention Bureau also shared with the attendees crime prevention measures. The attendees appreciated the officers' advice.

Mr Chan concluded, "We value the opportunity to discuss issues of common concern with the trade representatives. I am confident that by working together, we can effectively combat this type of crime. The fact that there were no reported cases of fake moon cake redemption coupons in the past four years was a proof of the achievement of the Force and the industry."
