To bring the Junior Police Call's (JPC) clean-up action on oil-clogged beaches to a meaningful conclusion, Chief Superintendent of the Police Public Relations Branch Fok Lok-sang represented the Force to donate candles made with recyclable palm stearin to the Christian Zheng Sheng College on September 6.

The Principal of the College, Dr Chan Siu-cheuk, received the candles and expressed his heartfelt thanks for the Force's concern for the community and his students.

The trilogy of the clean-up action covered the collection of palm oil clumps washed onto local beaches following an oil spill in August, the recycling of the palm stearin by making candles at the JPC Fight Crime Summer Camp 2017, and the donation of the candles to the College that provides rehabilitation services to the needy students. The action had not only enhanced the JPC members' environmental awareness, but also showed care for the needy teenagers and the community at large.
