The 15th Macao Delegation Training Programme concluded on September 15, with a total of 12 trainees from Escola Superior das Forças de Segurança de Macau (ESFSM) coming to the Hong Kong Police College for a five-day training and exchange with the Junior Police Officer Development Learning Division.

With an increasing number of cross-boundary economic and cultural activities, officers of the Hong Kong Police Force and the Public Security Forces of Macao must equip themselves to cope with policing challenges in the 21st century.

In response to a suggestion from the Macao authorities, the Hong Kong Police College arranged a series of lectures, seminars, visits and experience sharing sessions for the ESFSM trainees to enrich their knowledge on police training, communication skills, psychological ability and planning of operations.

The ESFSM trainees commented that the training programme not only enabled them to have a better understanding of police work in Hong Kong (HK), but also provided a platform for them to learn their HK counterparts' professionalism and mission of striving for excellence.
