Commander of Mong Kok District (MKDIST) Kerry Carew announced the establishment of an Incident Response Cadre and presented appointment certificates to 40 frontline officers who had completed an Incident Response Training Course from September 7 to 14.

The course, aimed to boost the officers' ability of managing public events and emergencies, honed their skills in active listening, breaking stalemates and handling confrontations through case studies and role-play exercises. The Police Public Relations Branch also assisted in enhancing the officers' media knowledge and their manner in responding to the media, thereby upholding a positive image of the Force.

The officers found the course practical as it consolidated their operational knowledge, sense of tactics, decision-making capability and confidence in handling incidents.
